If you are under 16 years old, it is better to take a size larger because you will continue to grow and you will be able to keep your board longer.
If you are tall and quite light, choose your board according to your size.
If you are rather well built, choose your board according to your weight.
If you have a good level and you are not going to grow any more, it may be more appropriate for your style to choose a size below our recommendations.
The thinner the board, the more manoeuvrable it is.
The thicker the board, the more stable it is.
“Boxy” edge make the board more stable.
"Intermediate" edge are a little thinner than boxy rails and make the board a little more manageable = preferred for a thicknesses between 1.8 and 2 cm.
Deck channels are grooves along the rails. This allows you to catch your board during ollies. A board with deck channels is more rigid than a board without.
You can attach a leash to your skim and skurf offshore without losing your board
